Membership – Renewing your membership
The current annual subscription rates are as follows:
  •  Standard (print) membership is £22.00 a year for up to two named people at the same UK address.
  •  Overseas (print) membership is £30.00 a year to reflect higher postage costs.
  •  Digital membership worldwide is £12.00 a year.
If you have set up a standing order for your annual subscription with a bank or other financial institution, you need do nothing more – your membership will renew on the 1st of January each year when the payment to the Society is received.
If you have not set up a standing order and wish to do so, a Standing Order mandate preformatted with the Society's banking details is available for download.
Other payment methods are:
  •  by cheque
  •  by electronic bank transfer
  •  via PayPal with a PayPal account or by credit/debit card
These methods are set out in the Renewal of subscription document. You need return the reply slip only if renewing by cheque.
If you choose to use the PayPal portal, making a payment will be familiar to most current members of the Society. However, if in doubt, follow this procedure:
       1. Click or tap the PayPal button Purchase Membership below – the PayPal payment window will open.
       2. In the left-hand panel click or tap on the downward-facing arrow to reveal a drop-down menu with the membership options.
       3. Select your preferred membership, (Standard, Overseas, Digital or Life).
       4. In the right-hand panel choose to pay either with a PayPal account or by credit or debit card by clicking or tapping the appropriate bar.
       5. You will then be invited either to log-in to your PayPal account, or to enter your credit or debit card details.
PayPal will notify the Society of your payment, which we will aim to acknowledge by email within 24 hours. You need do nothing further.
